  • Alexa.com Alexa is an Amazon tool bar that you can use to monitor site rankings and create
useful charts.  Site rankings are numerical.  The lower the number the better.  Because Alexa
collects page views from users who have downloaded their tool, the results are biased
toward more technical users.  It's still an excellent indication of the popularity of a website.

  • Google has a similar scheme in place to rank web pages.  The Google page rank is a
number between 0 and 10.  The higher the number the better.  The Google toolbar can be
    downloaded here.
